For Our Camps

We provide towels, shampoo and body wash.?Our camps?all?have?plant-based EO?? bath products?in both the private and public restrooms.?We recommend that you bring any other necessary toiletries as we do not have any for sale at the camp.

Of course! We provide all bedding including sheets, pillows?and?blankets. We’ve got you covered! We also have full-size camp cots that can sleep anyone up to 6’ 2” and 300?lbs, for which we provide sleeping bags and pillows.

The shared bathrooms are in a separate building that feature?6 individual, lockable?bathrooms. Each bathroom is fully private with a hot shower, sink & flushing toilet. Keep in mind these are shared with other guests but there is usually one available when you need it! It’s only a 1-2 minute walk from the tents?depending on the camp?and your?particular tent?location.

Grand Canyon,?Great Smoky Mountains?and?Mount Rushmore

Under Canvas offers cafe-style dining on camp. Simply place your order at the counter and leave the rest to us! Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in?camp, or?grab some breakfast to-go and get an early start for your adventures. At the end of a day, head back to camp and enjoy dinner under the stars?or in our beautifully decorated main lobby tents. Finish the night off with s’mores at our community fire pit.

We also have options for boxed lunches to take with you wherever you go! Place your order the night before and then pick it up the following morning between as you head out to experience everything?the?neighboring national parks?have?to offer.
There is something for everyone on our menu including vegetarian choices, gluten-free options, and nightly specials.

 

Yellowstone?

Breakfast is included in your nightly rate. Your complimentary breakfast is served at our neighboring property, The Bar N Ranch. The Bar N offers a lunch to go as well as a delicious dinner menu. These meals are not included in your nightly rate. We are less than a 10-minute drive to West Yellowstone where there are restaurants & grocery stores. We have gas grills available to use free of charge and they are first come first serve. We provide basic?cooking utensils. You will need to bring coolers, ice, plates, cups and eating utensils.

*Other than meals offered at Embers Yellowstone, we do not have any food at the camps for purchase.

*Please note you are NOT allowed to have ANY food inside your tents, beverages ONLY. We ask you to keep all food in a locked vehicle. Our camp?is located in?bear country. For your safety, food consumption is allowed in communal grill areas of the camp only.

 

Glacier?

Under Canvas Glacier works with preferred local?vendors to offer breakfast to our guests. Please request?menu and order from reception by 9pm on the evening?prior. Food will be delivered at 8am for pick-up from the?lobby tent.?Otherwise, we are just 5 minutes away from West Glacier where there are a few restaurants. We also have gas grills available to use free of charge and they are first come first serve. We provide basic cooking utensils. You will need to bring coolers, ice, plates, cups and eating utensils.

*Other than breakfast and lunch deliveries, we do not have any food at the camps for purchase.

*Please note you are NOT allowed to have ANY food inside your tents, beverages ONLY. We ask you to keep all food in a locked vehicle. Our camp?is located in?bear country. For your safety, food consumption is allowed in communal grill areas of the camp only. If food is found to have been consumed inside your tent there will be a $100 fine.

 

Moab

Under Canvas Moab works with preferred local vendors?to offer breakfast to our guests. Please request menu?and order from reception by 9pm on the evening prior.?Food will be delivered at 7am for pick-up from the?lobby tent.?Also, we are?located?just 10 minutes away from?the town of?Moab where there are restaurants and grocery stores. We have gas grills available to use free of charge, available?on a?first come?first serve?basis. We provide basic cooking utensils. You will need to bring coolers, ice, plates, cups and eating utensils.

*Please note we try to minimize food consumption in the tents. You may enjoy beverages. Otherwise, to protect the camp from critters please keep all food inside a locked vehicle.

 

Zion?

Under Canvas offers cafe-style dining on camp. Simply place your order at the counter and leave the rest to us! Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in?camp,?or?grab some breakfast to-go and get an early start for your adventures. At the end of a day, head back to camp and enjoy dinner under the stars?or in our beautifully decorated main lobby tents. Finish the night off with s’mores at our community fire pit.

Alternatively, we are just 10 minutes from?the town of?Virgin and 25 minutes from Springdale where there are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores.

Tucson

Under Canvas Tucson is located on Tanque Verde?Ranch, where a short walk?or golf cart ride?from camp will have you at the restaurant, offering?a?buffet or an?expansive a la carte menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also enjoy some cocktails?and a game of pool?at the Dog House?Saloon!

    • Glacier:?10 minute?drive to?the?West entrance of Glacier National Park.
    • Grand Canyon:?25 minute drive to the South Rim entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park.
    • Great Smoky Mountains:?20?minute?drive to the main entrance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
    • Moab:?5 minute?drive to?the?main entrance of Arches National Park and?20 minute?drive?to?Canyonlands National Park.
    • Mount Rushmore:?10 minute drive to the Mount Rushmore monument, with views from camp!
    • Tucson:?Tanque Verde Ranch property line is?adjacent to the Saguaro National Park; a?5?minute walk?from camp.
    • Yellowstone:?10 minute drive to?the?West entrance of Yellowstone National Park.
    • Zion: 25 minute?drive?from?the?main entrance?of?Zion National Park.

Park Passes can be purchased at the entry gate to the?national?park. We do not sell?them?but we can always give recommendations on things to do in the park!

We do not provide shuttles at any of our locations. We advise our guests?take advantage of our partnership with?SilverCar?by Audi so you can enjoy a 30% discount on luxury car rentals from participating cities and airports. Where not yet available, we recommend you?rent a car. This will?maximize?opportunities?to?get to?camp?the quickest way?and explore the?nearby national parks and surrounding?area.

Check in is between 3 pm – 1 am. Although, our staff is there 24 hours a day. If you think you will be arriving after 10 pm just let us know so we can make note on your reservation. Check out is by 10 am.

Just like camping, there are no outlets in the tent which means no mini fridge or coffee maker. However, there are battery powered fans & lanterns with USB plugs so you can charge at least 2 cell phones. If you need a powered battery for a CPAP or medical device just let us know in advance of your stay, so that we can request one. Powered batteries are?available on a first come first served basis.

Yes, solar pathway lighting allows you to take in your 1,000 star hotel room! That’s glamping! The?view of the?Milky?Way?Galaxy is stunning?from?all of?our camps.?That being said, there?are lights on the reception tent, the shared bathrooms and your tent also has lanterns for your use inside and outside the tent.

The tents do not have locks. However, they do zip up so you can close them when you leave. We do suggest keeping all valuables such as cash, jewelry, cameras, passports,?etc?with you or in a locked vehicle.

Our staff is on site 24 hours a day. We are there to help make your glamping experience comfortable & safe. The staff make the rounds at the camp and help reinforce quiet hours after 11 pm.

With the exception of?our Tucson camp,?yes,?dogs are welcome! We have a $25 fee per pet, per night. We ask?that?they are?please?kept on a leash and the owner cleans up after them. Pets are not to be left unattended in your tent at any time.

We do require payment in full on the date of booking to confirm your reservation.

*After these dates the full amount paid becomes non-refundable.

We can provide two camp cots with bedding at no additional charge. If you have a tent with Hive and exceed 4?people?we charge an additional $25 per person per night.

In order to provide a safe camping experience, we have communal fire pits that are lit between 7 pm and 11 pm nightly. We also provide complimentary S’mores &?toasting?supplies! What would glamping be without Smore’s?!

At Under Canvas we believe connecting with those around us and exploring the great outdoors is invaluable. For this reason, we do not have any?WiFi?at our camps.

The quality of coverage can vary based on location. We suggest checking with your cell phone service provider.

Be sure to check the weather before arriving and pack accordingly for all weather conditions. You may want to bring quality hiking shoes, backpacks, water bottles and cell phone chargers that have a USB end to charge in the base of your tent lanterns.

There are central parking lots throughout the camps. The tents are accessible?via?a foot path. For those who have a hard time getting around, just let us know and we can assist you with a golf cart or request a tent closer to the parking lots for you.

Our Safari tents with a?King bed?or triple twins, Deluxe, Stargazer, Treehouse and Suite tents all have a wood burning stove. We do provide wood for you. The stoves do help heat the tent quite a bit but if you are traveling during the cold months, you may still want to pack some warm clothes?to ensure maximum comfort based on your preferences.

Our tents do not have air conditioning. If you are visiting in the?summer?please keep this in mind. They do have solar powered fans and misting systems to help cool the tents a little. If you have small children or elderly it may not be the best fit in the middle of summer.

Our Yellowstone camp is the only location with a hot tub and pool available to use at our neighboring property, The Bar N Ranch.
All other camps do not have a?pool?so we advise looking into the closest town for a public pool?or watering holes!

All?adventures?are subject to the availability of each tour company, so we absolutely recommend booking them 1 – 4 weeks in advance at least! Especially if you’re traveling in the summer during peak season. There are numerous activities and attractions (beyond the?national?parks themselves) for young and old to enjoy near each one of our locations. There are instances where we have a minimum night stay. Most guests book multiple nights in order to enjoy our dreamy beds, stunning views and our staff’s efforts to make you feel at home!

Yes! We off a 10% discount to active and former members of the military, United States Government employees,? and AARP. Please call 888-496-1148 to redeem. Proper ID must be shown at check-in.

Absolutely! All our camps were designed with families in mind. There’s plenty of room to run and be free (ever mindful of on-site water, of course). We do have cribs, pack n’ plays and camp cots with?sleeping bags for sleeping. Just let us know what you?need?and we can have it ready for you!

Yes, our staff is there to encourage quiet time after 11 pm and ask all guests to be respectful of others. Please note that at Under Canvas Mount Rushmore, quiet hours begin at 10 pm.

Please be sure to check the weather before arriving and pack accordingly for all weather conditions. Due to the remote locations and frequent high altitude of our camps,?the weather can be?unpredictable. Occasionally, in a very dry summer, a fire ban can be in effect for a specific location. We recommend that you come prepared for colder evenings, particularly if using your wood stove becomes impossible due to fire restrictions.

Our tents travel throughout the continental US and Canada, and we have bases in New York, Montana, and California. You tell us where your event is, and we’ll get our tents there!

Yes. In order to secure your?booking?we require a 50% non-refundable event deposit. The full balance of your order must be paid 30 days before your event.
